The StrideLinx Cloud allows you to fully customize the pages that you and your users can see when opening a device in the Portal.
You can create as many pages as you need and add and remove components as you see fit. You can even create your own custom components and manage access to the pages you create for maximal versatility. This way, the users in your company will only see the information that is relevant to them.

Create a device page
Pages are created in the Studio, linked in the Fleet Manager, and used in the Portal.
- Create a new page at Studio > Device pages > Add new page and open it.
- You can also use an existing page as starting point by creating a duplicateat Studio > Device pages.
- The page Name is only displayed in the Studio. The page Title is displayed in the Portal.
- Changes are automatically saved as a draft. Don't forget to Publish the page when you're done to publish your latest changes to the Portal. If you're unhappy with your changes, you can also revert to the published version.
- Select a device for previewand add components to the page.
- You can add up to 64 components to a page. Click below for an overview.
Component overview
Component Description Info components: Cloud Connection Status Connection status of the device to the StrideLinx Cloud. Status information, logbook, and VPN data usage statistics. Device Info General information about the device, serial number, firmware version, and the groups to which the device belongs. Event Log An event log that includes what each user did and when. Including search and export options. Remote Access components: VPN Connect Enables the user to VPN connect to the device, view VPN connection details, and download the StrideLinx VPN Client. Web Access Enables the user to use the device's VNC and HTTP services. Data components: Data Export Allows for easy export of logged data. Setting Description Aggregator The time period displayed on a page generally contains more than one logged value. Some components, like a Single Value component, contain an aggregator setting to determine which value to display. The following aggregators are available:
First Shows the first logged value in the displayed time period. Median Shows the middle logged value in the displayed time period. Last Shows the last logged value in the displayed time period. Min Shows the minimum logged value in the displayed time period. Mean Shows the average of all the logged values in the displayed time period. Max Shows the maximum logged value in the displayed time period. Sum Shows the sum of all the logged values in the displayed time period. Mode Shows the value that occurred most often in the displayed time period. Count Shows the amount of values logged in the displayed time period. Range Shows the difference between the minimum and the maximum logged value in the displayed time period. Difference-Last Shows the difference between the last value in the previous time period and the last value in the displayed time period. Decimals Enter the amount of numbers you want to display after the decimal point. Optional. Unit Enter the unit you wish to show behind the value. Optional.
This only applies to the current component. To apply the same unit in every component, enter the unit at Fleet Manager > Devices > Your device > Your data source > Variables > Your variable > Edit. Once entered, this unit will be automatically applied when you add the variable or corresponding data tag(s) to a component.Factor Enter the value you wish to apply to the logged value. May be used to translate grams to kilograms for example. Optional.
This does not change the logged value. It only affects the displayed value and only in the current component. To apply the same factor in every component, enter the factor at Fleet Manager > Devices > Your device > Your data source > Variables > Your variable > Edit. Once entered, this factor will be automatically applied when you add the variable or corresponding data tag(s) to a component. - You can move (drag), resize (click and drag), copy & paste (right-click), and remove (right-click) components. Tip: you can also copy a component from one page and paste it onto another page.
- When displaying a boolean in a component, use 0 instead of FALSE and 1 instead of TRUE in the component settings and rules.
- You can add up to 64 components to a page. Click below for an overview.
- The page's time period determines which period is shown in data components. You can select a default time period and either show or hide time period controls. The time period controls enable you to change the displayed time period on the page in the Portal. Additionally, it enables you to easily zoom in in components, like the Line Graph, for more detail. The default time period will be displayed again when you reopen the page or manually zoom out .
- The page can be viewed in Desktop view and Mobile viewto preview how it looks on a desktop and mobile device respectively.
- Don't forget to Publish the page to effectively start using your latest changes in the Portal.
Link a device page to a device
Pages are linked to a device in the Fleet Manager and used in the Portal.
- Add a page to your device under Fleet Manager > Devices > Your device > View > Device pages.
- The Access category determines which users can see the page and which users don't. More information can be read here.
- The Group orderly groups pages, with the same group name, together in the Portal.
- Pages can be re-arranged (drag and drop). The order is directly reflected in the Portal.
- A page can be linked to multiple devices. Click here for tips and information about creating dynamic pages that automatically adjust to the device.
The default page is automatically added to new devices and highlighted by the label Default at Studio > Device pages. It can be edited like any other page and other pages can be assigned as the new default page as well. Only one default page can exist at a time.
- To change the default page, choose a new page to set as defaultat Studio > Device pages.
Manage device pages
Device pages can be managed from the Studio.
